Request a QuoteIn an independent laboratory test in Arizona, a pepper trial evaluated whether an ABI multi-strain consortium built around Trichoderma species could improve root development, transplant survival, and yield versus an untreated control and a competing commercial product. Plants were grown across standing-solution, drip, and soil systems, with the ABI consortium applied and reapplied monthly, and all measurements recorded by the independent lab.
The untreated control plants reached 91.1 grams of wet root mass with 14 cm root length, a transplant survival ratio of 17 of 24 (70.8%), and 36.2 pods per plant. In pepper production, root establishment and transplant survival set the ceiling for a crop, since weak or lost transplants directly reduce the stand and the harvest.
The treated plants reached 126.4 grams of wet root mass and 26 cm root length, a 39% increase in root mass, with 100% transplant survival (24 of 24) versus 70.8% for the control. Treated plants outgrew the control by 35 cm on average and produced 42.6 pods per plant versus 36.2, an 18% increase, maturing more rapidly with larger leaf area. In the same trial the ABI consortium also outgrew a competing commercial product by 7 cm.
